The G-Dragon x Nike Kwondo 1 “White” is a collaboration between the South Korean hip-hop artist and Nike that introduced a new silhouette to the brand’s footwear collection in December 2021. The Nike Kwondo 1 is named after the Korean martial art of taekwondo, and its design is inspired by several footwear styles, most notably brogue-style dress shoes, Stefan Janoski’s Nike SB Janoski line, and ‘90s-era football cleats. This is evident from the perforations found along each panel, the overall shape of the shoe, and the overlapping tongues, respectively.
